The Struggle Is Real… Rise Above It

FullSizeRender-2Have you ever felt completely defeated? Maybe your life felt like it was going great till one slip up and now you’re left feeling hopeless. I know that feeling when you feel like you’re the one who is always messing up.

As I’ve been studying the book of Lamentations I’ve realized one key thing. I have to stop focussing on the negative. It is so easy as humans to focus on everything thats going wrong in our lives. Bad things happen to everyone however, we mustn’t lose focus on who is sitting on the throne.

Lamentations 3:21-24 states, “This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope. Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not.  They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!”

The Lord is mighty and powerful. He is a just and righteous God. He knows what He is doing. God wants us to remember His goodness; to keep our eyes on Him. When we focus on the Lord, we are able to rise above our troubles rather suffer under them.

I know this may seem impossible at times, especially when you’re in the thick of it. But don’t worry! God’s got you! He will never put something in your life that He knows you couldn’t handle. Have hope in God. Have faith. “You, O Lord, remain forever; Your throne from generation to generation.” Lamentations 5:19

The struggle is definitely real but you can rise above it!
